Lost mucus plug question?

Question

If I have lost my mucus plug that means that I am dilating atleast a little bit right? Do you have to be dilating to lose it? Thanks in advance!

No you dilate when you are ready to! But your body is preparing for the big day!! i am 36 weeks on sunday and i lost my plug but i am not dialated!! Good Luck

As far as I know, losing your mucous plug doesn't mean you're dilating yet. I lost mine 3 weeks before I gave birth, and I started dilating 2 weeks before I gave birth, so I didn't dilate until a week after I lost my plug. Losing the plug does give you hope, though!
