  1. I just had my membranes stripped today and my doctor said that she doubts i'll make it to my due date which is on 9/3. I would say it should be very soon for both of us  :)

  2. It sounds to me like your on your way! You might try to do lots of walking, squatting, have s*x if you can, eat spicy foods, all of these things can jump start your contractions and make you dilate more. Good luck & hopefully you can meet your little one soon!

  3. With my first pregnancy, I lost my plug a week before I went into labor, but I didn't get my membranes stripped.

With my second, I had my membranes stripped, and I lost my plug and went into labor the next day.

    Every pregnancy is different!

  4. Sounds like it could be anywhere from any minute up to a couple of days - unfortunately there isn't a way to know for sure.

Do your best to get some sleep right now. And try to eat something (that's easily digestible, like broth or toast) and stay hydrated.  You're going to need to be rested and fueled for the birth - SOON!!!  How exciting.

    Congratulations!

  5. i was dilated to 3 and 75% percent effaced with one week unitl my due date when my doc stripped my membranes. lost the mucus plug the next day. I had contractions every 20 min for 3 days that did not get stronger or more frequent. I couldnt take it anymore!! Since i was gbs+ I went to the hospital and told them I was in labor. Since the contractions registered on the monitors and I was gbs+ they admitted me and later gave me pitocin. I think it was only braxton hicks to begin with, but once they gave a little pitocin things progressed well. Go for a long walk and go to the hospital with fingers crossed whenever you feel like it. Sometimes your body just needs a little help. I had an epidural and pushed my little heart off when they told me to.

only had to push for 5 min!! It was not even 5% as bad as I thought it would be. i did have an epidural though. . . its the first week after delivery that really sucks. Hang tough! Its almost over. You made it this far. . . ; )
