Trying to get a rush passport but keep hitting roadblocks. Do I need my passport or can I use my original birth certificate and drivers license? Any assistance would be much appreciated as I am freaking out about not being able to go.

  1. your in new york and your goin to jamaica? jus take the bus or subway to queens ;)

  2. There are two steps required to get a new passport. First, you must report your valid passport lost or stolen immediately. This is required of anyone who loses or has a passport stolen. The second step is to replace your passport. Both steps and forms required are described below.

To Report a Lost or Stolen Passport:

Complete Statement Regarding Lost or Stolen Passport, Form DS-64

To Replace a Lost or Stolen Valid Passport:

Complete Application for Passport, Form DS-11

You must appear in person at a Passport Agency or Acceptance Facility.

    Complete Question #18 as follows:

        * Write your name as it appeared in your passport.

        * Write the approximate date of issue.

        * Include the passport number if known.

        * Under "DISPOSITION", mark the appropriate box.

        * If your passport was expired, write "EXPIRED" next to the "OTHER" box.

    Submit your form:

        * To a passport acceptance facility.

        * You will also need photos, documentation and fees. See How to Apply in Person.

        * Fill in as much of the passport information as you can.

        * Answer all the other questions in detail.

        * Sign and submit above Form DS-64, Statement Regarding a Lost or Stolen Passport, to:

          U.S. Department of State

          Passport Services

          Consular Lost/Stolen Passport Section

          1111 19th Street, NW, Suite 500

          Washington, DC 20036

Also there are services that will help you with the process for a price.  If you get busy you should be able to get a replacement in the 3 weeks.  But the government does charge a premium for quick service, as much of this work has been contracted tot he private sector... which does not always mean faster.

  3. Stop sitting online... and go try to get another one made (just incase)... and then try to find your old one....

  4. No, the birth certificate and license will not get you out of the country.  You need to go down to the government center that issues passports and get a request in for an expedited passport.  Good luck!

  5. go and have a duplicate made, it might cost you, but quit wasting time, go now, get it done,

if nothing else report it stolen

  6. Find your passport.....

  7. Goodluck!! Call your local post office and ask how long it takes...

  8. ummm run and cry because man..... your screwed

  9. you can probably request an express service from them

  10. You need to get a new one made. It will take some time. You cant fly wihtout a passport so i guess you need to wait and cancel. Sorry, good luck.

  11. You can get one the same day if you go to the regional passport agency in New York City.  You need to be able to prove you need to travel in 2 weeks or less ( so you have to wait a few days).  Then CALL them, make an appointment, go, wait , and get your passport.  There is no extra fee for this.  See the site below for info and contact info.  You do also need to report your lost passport.  You could pay the extra fees and apply for an expedited passport...but they can take right at 3 weeks , so that is a bit risky.

  12. Go to the passport office in person with all of your documentation and ask for a rush. You will need your passport for sure.

  13. That's what you get for losing your passport.

You get to pay through the nose to get a rush on the passport.  Your birth certificate will not do.   You need a passport.

Get it together.  If you stay on their case, you can get it in 2 weeks.  Get a grip.
