  1. you are fine.

  2. I had to send my Driver's License & my voter's registration (also my divorce decree in my case) & a certified copy of my BC. IDK how much of that is actually needed but that's what i had to send to the office. Also you're supposed to report stolen cards RIGHT away so remember that next time. Also try using freecreditreport.com.

  3. request a new one.  actually, you don't need it. As long as you know the number. The only time I needed it was when I won over $2,000 at a casino in New Jersey.

  4. Review your credit reports.  If no fraudulent activity has occured by now, chances are it won't.  And DON'T carry your SS card around with you - keep it stored in a safe place.

  5. You won't get a new social security number, so if anyone knows your SS#, they will still know it even if you get a new card.

The good news is, it's actually not very useful to know someone's SS# and name.  Someone slick MIGHT be able to use that info to mess with your credit, etc. somehow, but the threat is exaggertated.
