  1. Does he/she know you've lost it? I just ask that as, personally, I wouldn't buy a car without seeing that first, nor would anyone I can think of.

  2. The link tells you what you need to know.

    http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/Motoring/Buy...

  3. hi you can sell your car no problem, but keep in your mind that any fines hi gets ,your are liable, because its  the car its in your name.go to local police station.declare card lost then to local authority.where you tax your car.they should fix you wtin 2weeks

  4. Just go and sell the car at the motor vehicle dept.

  5. Ha! Ha!

No problem as long as the buyer accepts that as being the truth.

Write a bill of sale for him and a declaration as to what has happened to the V5.

Write another for him to sign stating what time and date he actually took possession of the vehicle.

He can then apply for a new V5 from  Swansea, in his name, using a form from the Post Office.

    Skip

  6. No. You need the documents. Can you contact get a replacement with great difficulty. But, you need them so you cant not give it a try. Hope it works out.
