  1. As long as you know the number it is fine. I lost mine about 4 years ago but have recently found it again.

But I have managed fine without it

  2. I lost mine within days of receiving it. Ive never ever been asked for it. As long as you know your number, thats fine.

    Lozz xx

  3. As long as you know the number you'll be ok.

As far as ID goes, it's not the best anyway.

  4. Just the number is required

  5. You just need to know the number

  6. I lost mine years ago and have survived without it! Just make sure you got the number written down and kept somewhere safe!

  7. Please contact any  social security .office or job centre They will direct you to the correct office/person. The card is very important If any one(Like Hospitals, employment agencies) asks for it you must produce it.Any one can give any number.

  8. Because I'm old, I never had a card anyway. You don't need the card if you know your number, and if lost, you can only ever get one replacement.

If you need to prove your number, your form P60, form P45, a form P2 notice of coding, or even a signed letter on headed paper from HMRC suffices. Benefit detail notifications would also show number.
