I lost my 1st passport in 1997 together with my sister and my mom when vacationing in hongkong. we reported our lost passport to the philippine embassy and hongkong embassy where we lost our passports. when we came back to the philippines we submitted all the necessary documents to the DFA about our lost passport and after that we were issued a replacement passport which expired on 2002..i renewed for a new passport and was again given which will expire on 2009.i recently knew that I, my sister and mom were on the watchlist at DFA because of our lost passport which happened 10 years ago.i again submitted all the documents supporting our reason for the lost passport to DFA.What should I do in which the DFA would take immediate action about my problem so that I would be erased on their computer system on the watchlist. they say that if i will still be in their watchlist i may be denied entry in any foreign country i visit.is this true?i'm applying for a US visa will they see it too?

  1. Try going to www.lost.eu/29b33, it might help you out. Just sign up.

  2. If you are "watch listed" only because of a lost passport, then you do not have too much to worry about.  Perhaps you will be asked questions about the circumstances, but ultimately, that alone should not keep you out of another country - passports are "lost" all the time.  The US embassy will know about the lost passports; again, you must be able to explain the circumstances.
