Lost post i have just got a bundle of post turn up on my door step

The post office have just returned a bunch of post about 50 letters. Most of it is c**p, Among the was a cheque dated in January. will the bank still cash it or will i have to return it and get a new one, Is there a length of time you can keep a cheque for without cashing it.

if there is an expiration date for the check it will list it on the front of the check.  if there is no date then it can still be cashed regardless.  i had someone once cash a check i had written like 2 years later.

Most are valid for six months from the date of the cheque - check the exact date, and check with your bank too. If it is out, you will need to ask whoever raised it if they will re-issue it.
