Wth is this? I just turned on a tv in my house and half the channels are a completely black screen, no sound. I tried on another TV, same thing. Then I tried on a TV with Cablevision iO, and they still don't work! Did I lose the channels or are they just down for a while?

  1. Try going to a neighbor's house and see if their having the same problem.

If not, I would wait for a couple of days to see if the channels come back on, and if not - call your cable provider to have somebody come down and look at your connection.

  2. WHY wait a day or so??  Call them now and if there is a network-based failure, the cable company will know about it and inform you of it....and give you a time when it should return to normal.......

So why wait? IF you do have a problem in your home they can come out and fix it in a day or two.....

But they can't schedule you until YOU CALL!

So why wait....get on their schedule NOW......

    Wait a day or two....yeah....right!

  3. no most likely someone disco you, you don't have enough dbs, best thing to do call cablevision, and tell them you are having problems, make sure you did not disco any cables, tell them you want some kind of credit.

  4. Sounds like it just may be a temporary feed loss at Cablevision. THey might have lost the feed from those particular networks or something on their end went down. I would wait a day or so. If it's not resolved, definately give them a call and express your concerns. At that point, they might tell you they're having technical difficulties, or send out a technician to inspect your cabling.
