Question:

Lots of Bees around the gutter?

I noticed that we get lots of bees swarming around the front of my house, more specifically around the gutter area. The usually show up at 9:30pm and it lasts for 10-15 minutes. Any ideas what's going on there? Do they have a nest somewhere in my gutter? I don't see any hives anywhere so i'm not sure why they are hanging around.

  1. Try looking around and if you have shingles, look under them maybe. Look all around and spray with a bee killing spray which can be found at a local hardware store and spray the area if nothing is found.

  2. My mom had a problem with bees this year and someone told her about this product...it looks like a real bee hive...bees are very territorial and when they see this hive(or what they think is a hive) they go away because they think the area is already taken!..it works...not sure what exactly it is called though...sorry about that...but they will know what you are talking about at the hardware store when you go...good luck!

  3. There is such a problem with bees this year because THE BEES ARE DYING!  If they aren't bothering you, please leave them alone.  Lots of gardeners and farmers wish they have your bee problem.

The bees are probably thirsty.  Perhaps you have water that stays in the gutters.  Or there are some little flowers growing down there they are getting nectar from.
