Hi All,

this is my first time pregnant, so i'm new at all this stuff! i'm 7 weeks.

i've had a blood test done for my blood type, General Haematology, Rubella & Hepatitis

What other blood tests do they do over the 9 months? and at what stage are they?

When do they test for downs syndrome?

how many ultrasounds will i have during my pregnancy?

sorry for the amount of questions!

  3. They did a cystic fibrosis screen along with my initial blood workk.Your triple screen/quad screen which test for abnormalities is done between 15 and 20 weeks, if it comes back abnormal then they'll give you an option for an amniocentesis. You'll also have a gestational diabetes test in your 5th month. I heard that some doctors only do it if they feel you're at risk. It seems like they take blood at every appointment I go to :) Good thing I'm not scared of needles! You will usually get 1-2 ultrasounds depending on your insurance, unless your doctor orders more. You can always go to a private office and get a 3d/4d done, but you have to cover those costs yourself. I hope I'm not missing anything, lol. Good luck!
