also i cannot download updates for windows or anything else i have tried microsoft but lots of changes also system restore gone, i have managed to do what i can but i will be reinstalling xp soon, but in the meantime i need help with internet exporer, is there any way of getting another browser that may help me use the internet, also in task manager there are 37 process is this right? any help would be really really helpful as i think this will not last long, i cannot open another page as it is saying security logs full . aslo there seems to be alot of differant connections trying to use my comp. norton firewallwas set to blockany such programs \ip\virus\ but all the programs seem to get through today and ignored the firewall block also i have a lot of access denied in my logs from many applacation been blocked any ideas would be great i am a single mum and i cannot afford to pay to get it fixed,how can i detecthidden\remote\keylogging prog \ in ile i found philcamdecdll wh isit

Hi, I am Lawrence and I work in a computer shop, I fix this every day so this will be your answer.

First of all Download these programs and then unplug your network until they are installed. After all they cannot do anything with your internet connection disconnected. Here are the programs...

(O yeah GET RID OF NORTON it is a fat cow and cannot do anything get rid of it by using the Norton remover and GET IT OFF!)

So after that download from http://www.download.com:

1. Lavasoft ad-aware free edition

2. Spybot - Search & Destroy

3. AVG 8.0 Free edition

after that disconnect your internet and install all of them AFTER removing Norton. Then restart.

Then plug your internet back in or enable it and then update all the software. Unplug in again.

After that un-plug your internet connection and run AVG Anti. Remove all Viruses it finds. Then you must restart in order to continue successfully.

Then run Ad-Aware 2008 free edition and clear all spyware off. Then again restart in order to be successful.

Finally plug your internet back in again and run Spybot search and destroy and it will get rid of the hijacker.

The very last step restart. And there you have it a completely Spyware free OS.

u have a virus... try download a virus with the free trial so u can get rid of all the viruses. After, redo your whole windows again.

With the browser, use firefox. I like it better than Explorer

I had that b4, now I use Norton and another anti spyware, Norton is ok with viruses but not great with trojans etc...imho, you need a good anti spy, but it might be too late, it'll be overloaded trying to sort out your files for a while if you can use/install it ok..

put your windows disk in and reformat and reinstall windows. sorta quick simple and guaranteed effective.

Go to http://www.mozilla.com and download the Firefox browser should allow you to surf the net, its safer then Internet Explorer to.

37 Processes is perfectly fine I had 42.
