Lots of school desks, chairs etc where can we donate? london?

Hi we are a primary school refurbishing classrooms. We have lots of well worn chairs and desks (child size) we would like to donate (collection only) is there a worthy cause who would be glad of these? we have heard of shipments going to africa etc but have no clue...Please help (central london)uk

The idea of sending them to Afghanistan is good. Contact your local Army regiment and see if they can suggest a regiment which is serving there and could transport them for you.

I know that a regiment based close to Cambridge refurbished some classrooms and took over some stationery donated by Staples.

You can try to send the desks to Afghanistan because they are in dire need of school supplies, especially for girls.  It might be tough, though, since it is a war zone.  Another place that you can send the desks to is Jamaica, where the schools are very poor.

Malawi are desperate for school furniture. Why not contact their embassy.
