well, i went on holiday and my mum was here, when i came back, my mum said there was lots of tiny caterpillar-like bugs everywhere, so when i looked there was lots of caterpillar things, some black and some brown.

they are about 1-2 mm and they run a tiny bit fast.

can any one tell me what these are, and what to do with them?

(idon't have any indoor plants, and i live in scotland)

  1. they are the larvae of the clothes moth (totally insipid looking moths a bit silvery in colour) - they lay their eggs in clothes and stuff and then their babies wreck them (strangely enough i noticed some in my house today and told everyone here to squash every one they saw!!) - hoovering helps, but if you don't hoover carpets under your bed (which most people don't) then they'll do it under there...

  2. Moth larvae. Get rid fast...they'll eat ALL your clothes! Go yo chemist and ask....or if you have any lavender plants around sprinkle it or spray lavender oil around.
