Has anyone or anyone you know, won the lottery.

And how did they change other than the obvious

Other than a lady who won a top prize at the grocery store, no.  She seemed like a very wealthy lady who already had a lot of money so she didn't seem like she needed the money.  Maybe not so much of a change.

I have gotten to know a woman because I've seen her like once a week for the last 4 or 5 years at the gas station near my house. We make small chat from time to time, talking about buying lottery tickets because every time I see her she is buying bunches of scratch off tickets.

She told me she buys tickets every single day after work, like $30 or $40 dollars worth a day. She goes from one gas station to the next stopping at 4 or 5 on her way home from work. I asked her if she thought she had a gambling problem and if she had ever wanted to quit. She said no, she liked it and didn't want to quit. She wanted to one day hit a big jackpot. She had won plenty of $20 or $50 prizes but never anything substantial. Well, last month I saw her again and she was all excited, she told me that she finally had a big winner. She bought a $2.00 scratch off lottery ticket and hit for the top prize on that game which was $35,000.

I asked her if she was going to stop now that she won a big one, and she said heck no, the fun was even better now. Over the next few years, I'll bet she will lose all that back and then some, but she is happy. Her kids are grown and moved out and she isn't hurting anyone so what the heck? She might as well.

came close last year, hit 5-6 in the Mass. Megabucks game. The pot was 2.9 mill. at the time. I was off by one# for my 6th number too. !
