Lotus Renault GP ink four new partners for remainder of 2011 Formula 1 season – Formula 1 news
Lotus Renault GP confirmed its partnership with four new sponsors for the rest of 2011 Formula 1 season this Wednesday, September 7.
Renault have secured these strategic deals with Embratel, Gillette, Brazilian oil and natural gas company OGX and Auden McKenzie- all of which are world renowned brands and enjoy great repute within their respective sectors. These partnerships will take
immediate effect and shall remain effective until the end of the 2011 season.
Bruno Senna, a Brazilian Formula 1 racing driver who has recently been added to the Renault team in place of Nick Heidfeld, is believed to have played a pivotal role in securing these global partnerships. Furthermore, Senna’s Brazilian roots hold great significance
here since all four companies are either Brazil-based or have some connection with Brazil.
Embratel, which is a personal sponsor of Senna, will showcase its logo on both R31s, and Senna’s helmet and cap.
On this occasion Embratel President, Jose Formoso said, “In addition to Embratel’s brand, the Brazilians are taking the Senna name back to a Formula 1 race and, clearly, it is a special emotion for all the Brazilians that are passionate about F1.”
The remaining three companies will be marking their presence by featuring their logo on different parts of the R31 as well as Senna’s overalls and helmet. As for Auden McKenzie Group, the exact locations where they will display their logo on the cars are
yet to be finalised.
These fresh sponsorships are seen by the Renault team as a major positive step towards the diversification and strengthening of its commercial portfolio.
The Renault team boss, Eric Boullier expressed his views on this new development as, “Lotus Renault GP share a common ethos with all the brands, in that we want to achieve at the very highest level through world-class professional practices. We are looking
forward to prosperous relationships with all four partners in the coming months.”
Boullier seems extremely excited and optimistic about the new link-ups that Renault have signed and expects a good return from these collaborations.
