Lotus car parade at Snetterton, Jim Clark, Graham Hill, Emerson Fittipaldi, Ayrton Senna, Nigel Mansell remembered, Trulli and Kovalainin sign autographs

The Lotus is in full bloom! No we are not talking about the flower but it is the legendry Formula One team that held the biggest exhibition of its type on Sunday in Snetterton. It was a rally of cars, the mighty ones that had been used in the Formula One seasons for years and years. The evening had been one of those that one gets to witness once in a decade. The famous history making, powerful and billion-pound cars grouped together at the same time at the same place.

The cars that have helped the team win the constructors' championships for seven times, granted six of the drivers their titles, helped bag seventy three Grand Prix wins, and much more over the decades, were all assembled together. So far the company has had thirty five generations of its Formula One cars which were all collected for the first time ever for this exclusive show of British motorsport.

People kept pouring in from all around blocking the traffic for hours to witness the extraordinary spectacle. Traffic on the A11 corridor at the Snetterton Circuit, crawled slowed down to a snails space. The only that mattered was the immense jubilation and excitement for the event.

Over the years the thirty five different models of the Lotus team had been driven by a large number of legendry drivers. Including, the legendary Jim Clark, the invincible Graham Hill, the great Emerson Fittipaldi, the unbeatable Ayrton Senna, and the king of the sport Nigel Mansell, all stood together revealing the legacy of the great drivers with the invincible team. Also, there was a special treat for the fans as the team carried a demonstration of the new Lotus racing car on British soil for the first time.

The event had been a great delight for the organizers as people kept streaming in and everyone who came marveled at the great spectacle. Soon the organizers were happily announcing that the day had turned out to be the greatest of the events ever held by the team. The event was initially thought to be an exhibition of the Jim Clark Team Lotus “Trinity’, but soon it turned out to be the first get together of all the cars ever been made by the team. It marked the presence of the cars like the ones that raced for Hethel from the year 1958 to 1994 and also the Lotus Racing T127 that had been used earlier this year.

The event also celebrated the presence of the current team drivers, Jarno Trulli and Heikki Kovalainen, that happened to the most exciting thing for most of the race lovers as it a rare chance that one gets to meet Formula One in person. The opportunity was fully availed by the fans who took autographs and photographs with the twosome. Also, they showed the Lotus machines on the track.

The timing of the festival was great as it coincided with the 500th anniversary of the Grand Prix that would be celebrated at the European Grand Prix this Sunday in Valencia.

Above all, the event turned to be an extraordinary treat for the visitors as the team had arranged to pay tribute to Jim Clarke in the form of a car parade. It involved a great spectacle of the most famous cars of the team moving on the track in full pride and glory. It included cars like the Lotus Type 25, that was used in the 1963 F1 world championship which Lotus won, another one was the Type 38 that had the team win the 1965 Indianapolis 500 and none the less, the Lotus Type 49 that won the team the 1967 Dutch Grand Prix. All these great cars that helped the team make its history are owned by the collectors in Australia and America.

With such events Lotus hopes to bring back the times of its rule and glory in the motorsport world.
