Lotus driver Jarno Trulli looking for better results in rest of 2011 season – Formula 1 news
Lotus driver Jarno Trulli says he is looking forward to better results in the remainder of the 2011 Formula 1 season.
Trulli believes the new power steering of his T128 car will help him during the races to finish his good run on the grid in the second part of the ongoing season.
The driver was unable to perform well on the racetracks in the initial races of the season due to having a power steering issue with his car.
The Italian driver did not take part in the 2011 German Grand Prix, as the team Lotus selected Hispania Racing Team driver Karun Chandhok for the race in place of Trulli.
Lotus fixed the power steering issue of Trulli’s car ahead of the Hungarian Grand Prix. The team driver returned to the team in the Budapest race and drove for them at the Hungaroring race circuit. He failed to complete his race in Hungary, as he was retired
from the race due to having a water leakage issue. However, he experienced the new power steering of his car during the Hungarian race.
Trulli said that he is confident for the rest of the ongoing season, as he is sure the new power steering will support him during the upcoming races.
Talking to reporters, the 37-year-old driver said, “They did a good job with the new power steering system, which is giving me the exact feeling with the car. I think we can still improve the system, but the feeling is okay.”
Apart from that, the Lotus driver stated that he is not panicking about his future in Formula 1 and that he just wants to focus on the 2011 season’s job.
The Hingham-based outfit driver went on to mention, “As I always say, I'm not panicking about my future because first I have to be quick and second I have to be motivated. So now it all looks very different for me, everything looks brighter. I'm not really
looking at the future, now I want to build up from now.”
Let’s see how Trulli performs in the second part of the 2011 Formula 1 season with the new power steering of his car.
