Lotus team principal Eric Boullier says their hard work is being rewarded well – Formula 1 News
Lotus team principal, Eric Boullier has said that they have done a lot of hard work which has been rewarded well in the 2013 Formula 1 season until now.
Kimi Raikkonen of the Enstone based team delivered a remarkable performance in the German Grand Prix and successfully secured an amazing second podium finish after
taking a start from 4th grid slot. In contrast, his teammate, Romain Grosjean also showed an incredible pace at Nurburgring and secured third podium finish after setting off from 5th grid position.
Boullier said that they have been working really hard at their factory in Enstone to make the necessary developments in their car and are feeling very much satisfied
over the results of their drivers in the preceding race. In addition, he said that he is extremely grateful to all the members of his team for their time and efforts to keep on making the significant developments in their car in the season so far.
“It was a very good race from the team and one which validates all the hard work that has been going on back at Enstone, so firstly I'd like to thank everyone at
the factory for their efforts,” Boullier said. “There's been a lot of time and energy put into bringing upgrades to each race and getting the car back to the front after three difficult weekends, so it's very satisfying to see the result of all that hard work
being rewarded.”
Besides, he said that after securing two podiums in the last race, they are positively looking forward to come up stronger in the season ahead to make their mark
stronger in this year’s championship fight.
“Being back on podium was exactly what we needed. We need to continue like this to make up for lost ground in both championships,” he added.
Presently, the British squad are standing at fourth place in the constructions’ championship with 157 points. Furthermore, they are ahead of Force India and behind
their major rival, Ferrari.
