Loud buzzing noise from compressor area and... We have a maytag side by side (model MSD2655HEB).

Question

We have a maytag side by side (model MSD2655HEB). There is a loud buzzing noise followed by a click. This noise used to be very subtle a few months back but has been gradually increasing. Today its very loud. Also, everything in the freezer is thawed. The freezer is cold but just not cold enough. The refrigerator side seems to be ok. Any ideas on what this could be?
