  1. Wheel bearing - Polo's are renowned for them going - change both sides

  2. you got it..... wheel bearing is bad.

  3. Probably a bearing. When you get where your going, put your hand on it. If it's hot, that's it.

  4. The wheel bearing is a possible cause but first check that the tyre pressure is OK. If the tyre has insufficient air in it the noise you describe is one that would occur.

If the tyre is OK then Jack up the car on that side and grip the wheel top and bottom and move it, if you can back and forth (not rotating). If the bearing has worn then you will feel the play on the wheel and detect a clonking noise.

  5. The neighbour's cat.

  6. Wheel Bearing, or maybe brake shoes??

  7.   It sounds like a wheel bearing but it could be the rear end if it is the differential the noise will change noticeably when you turn

  8. If it's a hummin/griding like noise there's a good chance it's a wheel bearing on the way out.

It's not an overly expensive part, but you should have it replaced as soon as possible.

  9. more than likely a bad wheel bearing

  10. Wheel bearing jack up car spin wheel listen if you hear slight rumbling noise its a bearing.

  11. This could be one of two things it could be a wheel bearing or a bad tyre-a garage would jack the car up and spin the wheel if you get a rumbling sound its the wheel bearing if not it could be the tyre in which case check tyre is not mishapen due to a faulty shock absorber-and to add you dont need to change both sides if it is a wheel bearing!

  12. That's what it sounds like to me...your wheel bearing could be warped
