Loughside Jack likely to dominate proceedings in the March Puppy
Loughside Jack is expected to dominate proceedings in the 460 metres March Puppy at Henlow in England on Thursday, March 8, 2012. The winner will be awarded with prize money of £150.
The Grade OR flat race is scheduled to begin at 20:26 GMT and six puppies taking part in it are: Loughside Jack, Story Time, Savana Ruby, Droopys Brogan, Westmead Bertie and Blackrose Ace.
However, the best chances of winning are with Loughside Jack, who has been performing exceptionally well over the past few months. The bookmakers have full confidence in his abilities and the punters will also find it hard to bet against his victory.
D. Whitton’s trainee has won four out of his past five races, which shows the kind of form he has been in. The most important thing is that all those victories have come at Henlow, which means that he likes this venue.
In his previous appearance at Henlow, Loughside Jack was almost unmatchable, winning by a comfortable margin of two lengths. He was the favourite to win and lived up to the expectations of everyone. He displayed express speed at the start of that event and carried on with the momentum until the end.
The black dog, likely to win today, is the son of Eskimo Jack out of Fantastic and was born in May 2010.
B. Turner’s trainee, Story Time, has also got pretty good odds for winning. She has been impressive since making her debut in the sport and her consistency will encourage the punters to place bets on her.
The second favourite hound might find things a touch difficult in this grade, but her last outing proves that she has very good chances of winning yet again. In her previous appearance, she caused an upset, winning by more than one length.
B. Turner will be expecting a similar performance from Story Time, who is the daughter of Ballymac Maeve out of Southoe Queen and was born in April 2010.
It will be difficult for the rest of the runners to match the speed of Loughside Jack and Story Time. However, Savana Ruby has some chances of challenging the top two, but she will have to be extremely lucky to finish on top of the table.
