Loughside Stella and Corduff Natasia joint favourite for the William Hill Hotbox Stakes
Loughside Stella and Corduff Natasia have been rated as joint favourites for the William Hill Hotbox Stakes at Sunderland in England on Thursday, February 16, 2012. The winning greyhound will be given a cash prize of £108.
The competition in the Grade A7, 450 metres flat race is expected to be quite exciting, as the top three greyhounds are almost evenly matched.
Out of the three, Loughside Stella has been performing consistently well for the past few months. She has never finished out of top three and that will encourage the punters to put their money on her.
R. Paterson’s trained b***h took a victory in her previous outing and has the potential to repeat such a performance today as well. She is the youngest off all participants, as she was born in August 2010.
The white and black coloured b***h is the daughter of Greenwell Storm out of Sunnyside Lass.
Joint favourite b***h, Corduff Natasia, is a completely different runner. She has the advantage of being a seasoned campaigner and her recent form has also been pretty much impressive.
J. Teal’s trained b***h will have a tough outing, as she will be up against some quality runners. However, she has the ability to pull off something special today. She is the daughter of He Said So out of Westmead Natasia and was born in June 2007.
The second favourite to win at Sunderland is Ceili Ceol, trained by P. Miller. She has got two victories in her last five outings, which indicates that she will definitely challenge the front runners. The black b***h is the daughter of Loyal Honcho out of
Ceili Zoe and was born in May 2010.
Mayfield Angler, trained by A. McNicholas, also has the potential of fighting for race victory. However, his form does not suggest that he will be able to challenge the favourites for the race today. He is the son of Westmead Hawk out of Malbay Sadie and
was born in June 2009.
Knockalla Jim and Slumdog Milli are the least favourite greyhounds to win at Sunderland. They will need a flawless run in order to match the speed of the top favourites. However, racing is not predictable, as anything can happen in it.
The punters will be tested today, as they will have to choose between the top three favourites, who seem to have similar speed and stamina.
