After a drilling session, the three-year-old son out of b***h, Loughteen Lassie, scored second in the Coral Hove Maiden – Dup on 17 June, 2012 at Hove over 515 metres.
The favourite entry lost the chance to strike a hat-trick by just half a length as the race was won by, Airlie Impact in 29.72 seconds.
The S. Cahill trained was drilled over 450 metres at Sunderland on 23rd June, 2012 and the blue dog accomplished the distance in 27.28 seconds.

The last two races of the blue hound culminated into successes.
Loughteen Blanco won the final of the Williamhill.Com Classic on 12th July, 2012 at Sunderland over 450 metres. He raced away quickly after leaving the third gate and timed the distance in 26.95 seconds by leading for the remaining distance.
