The former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Louis-Saha-c22459 is confident he will hit the ground running for the Premier League title runners.
Harry Redknapp’s Tottenham acquired Saha on the deadline day of the January transfer window, and the attacker might be given his debut in the upcoming Merseyside derby against Everton.
Regular starters http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Emmanuel-Adebayor-c12526 are out with injuries, while attacking midfielder Rafael van der Vaart is also nursing a calf injury.
According to the Spurs assistant manager, Kevin Bond, Saha has really impressed in training. However, the Frenchman has been rather poor on the pitch in recent times.
The striker, for his part, has expressed optimism about the upcoming game. Speaking further, he had nothing but praise for his new team.
"It's a very attacking side and they always look for movement of the striker. There is quality everywhere on the pitch, from the goalkeeper to the top.
"There is so much quality and confidence about the team's play, it's amazing.
"Adebayor and Van der Vaart are great players so I can't wait to play with them." He said.
Saha is not an alien to top level club football, having served Manchester United in the past. However, he’s still amazed at the transformation Spurs have gone through.
"It's amazing what the club have done over last few years and it's a great feeling to be part of that now," he said.
"I am really excited and can't wait to start. It's a really attractive club and the way they play is really enjoyable to watch.
"When everyone clicks, it's amazing. It's very hard to defend against Tottenham." Saha concluded.
