  1. It would be, exept that heavy rain causes temporary picture loss. You need a clear line of sight from the dish location to the satellite.You can check the direction on the website below(Astra 2A-B-D).  


  2. some people just live in bad aerial reception areas. sky would give you an excellent picture, and more channels. we had sky and found picture freezing and loss of service on bad weather days. we had to have 2 new transponders on the end of the dish arm. cost us £68 each time.... sky say you own ALL equipment after 1 year. got much better package (including broad band) with virgin, they guarrantee ALL equipment for as long as you have a contract with them. iwould recommend you shop around before committing. good luck.

  3. Yeh, Sky would be better. But more expenisve obviously. try freeview?
