Love, That Little Contradiction?

Love.

shall i say it again?

Love.

that one word that makes a thousand happy

and makes a million suicidal.

those four letters that make a day

and cause a funeral.

that whole syllable that makes someone smile

and makes another cry.

they say that Love is the greatest give of all.

they say that Love is the slowest form of suicide.

that little contradiction.

Good poem, but If you don&#039;t mind, I&#039;d like to make a couple suggestions.  I&#039;d lose the &quot;shall I say it again?&quot; line and just begin with love.  I would also get rid of &quot;that little contradiction&quot;  because the reader doesn&#039;t need to be told it is a contradiction since that is how you formulated the poem.  

Losing those two lines and even taking out some unnecessary words will make the poem sound more sophisticated.  Just my opinion.
