  1. Emergency vet!  NOW!  I hope he survives and gets to live with someone who will care enough to feed him; your cousin should be charged with animal cruelty because it is very cruel to leave an animal without food or water!

  2. well take him out of the cage and take him to a vet.....they will know what to do

  3. Could just be a genetically sick bird. But if your cousin's home has any cookware (or appliances that are regularly heated to high temperatures) containing PTFE, a non-stick coating also known as Teflon among many other popular brand names, and the bird was kept near the kitchen, then there's a high chance that the bird is suffering from PTFE poisoning, which is usually fatal. That's why pet bird households shouldn't have non-stick cookware or heating appliances (unless it's a non-PTFE one, which is extremely hard to find). For right now, immediately take the bird to an avian vet. And why the h**l would your cousin leave it alone, that's the worst thing to do. Always do research BEFORE getting the bird.

  4. He will die...a bird that small cannot go without food or water without dire consequences. kjl

  5. GET THAT BIRD TO A VET OR HOSPITAL (24 HR ONE PREFEREBLY) ASAP. TELL THEM YOUR PRETTY SURE ITS AN EMERGENCY. LEAVING AN ANIMAL THAT SMALL WITH OUT FOOD FOR SO LONG WILL KILL HIM, AND THAT SOUNDS LIKE THE SYMPTOMS. ESPECIALLY SINCE THERE WASN'T ANYTHING IN THE DISH, IT HAS BEEN AWHILE, SINCE THERE WILL USUALLY ATLEAST BE SOME SEED HULLS, REMAINS, ETC. THAT BIRD IS IN CRITICAL CONDITION AND HIS LIFE DEPENDS ON WHETHER HE CAN BE SAVED BY A VET WITHIN THE NEXT 12-18, MAYBE 24 HRS. TRY PICKING HIM UP AND PUSHING HIS HEAD INTO THE WATER JUST TO HELP HIM DRINK, IT WILL KEEP HIM FROM DYING OF DEHYDRATION. I NEVER TYPE COMPLETELY IN CAPS SO PLEASE UNDERSTAND THAT THIS BIRD IS IN DANGER! CALL FOR HELP RIGHT NOW!
