Love from an emotionally 'stunted' man?

stunted- what a word, but i think you know what i mean...

Partner is overseas working and he calls me every night, sometimes twice in a day. I ask because he never tells me how he feels and, in fact, gets very uncomfortable when dealing with emotional issues -

I'd like to think it is his way of showing love... what you think?

Its not quite the statement you want but its a statement isnt it?

He bothers, he takes the time.

I suppose he must have had issues growing up that have made him uncomfortable with talking about how he feels - youre just going to have to chip quietly away it it - but dont use a sledgehammer okay?

I definitely think he is showing how much he cares.

He calls you all the time so he clearly loves you, so no worries there!

Men don't show their emotions easily, they may act macho but are often very shy and find it very hard to say what they feel, he is no different from a majority of other men, so just keep looking forward to seeing him again and YOU tell him how you feel about him, he loves to hear this, even if he doesn't say so, believe me!

I would enjoy his phone calls and not ask for more emotion.

He may be missing you or just bored or feeling guilty. In any event he must care because he calls you to no end. Yes, it's his way of showing it.

Men are notorious for not speaking about their feelings...... but if he's ringing you so often, doesn't that show that he cares?  The ACTIONS of a person mean so much more than mere words.  Stop giving the bloke grief
