Love handle help please!!!!?

I have some majorr love handles i'd like to get rid of really soon.

  1. There's no such thing as "spot reduction" so you can't just lose weight from that area.   You'll have to lose weight all over.  To that end, cardio cardio cardio!!

    You CAN do some exercises to strengthen your oblique muscles which will help tone up the "love handle" area.  Try lots of twisting exercises to accomplish this.  If you are into video exercise series, I highly recommend "Ab Jam" (from the "Turbo Jam" series).  Doing that ab workout was the first time I felt like I was effectively able to work my obliques.  I tried the online tutorials and whatnot, but never had any luck - I feel that the woman that leads Ab Jam does a good job describing the movements so you can really FEEL it in the appropriate muscles.

  3. that is the one spot that everyone in my family has issues keeping slim... even the boys. we aren't obese, my mom is a size 6 and has had 5 kids (not fair) lol. but one thing that most of my siblings and i do, is the sit-ups that are kind of like crunches

    you do it like a regular sit-up, but instead of going straight up, go to the side, and alternate between your left and right sides.

    also, to tone your abs a little bit... instead of doing a slow sit-up, go up REALLY fast. your stomache is used to slow motions from bending and turning, the fast motions start to work those tender, lazy muscles. lol.
