Lovebirds or Parakeets?

Which do you prefer and why?

Parakeets. I had a lovebird about 4 years ago, and it made the biggest mess. I had a parakeet, and I had no mess at all.

LOVEBIRDS!!!!

They are way more interactive with u, and they are more sweet, and trainable! That is just my opinion, but u choose what u like the BEST!

birds are too messy to own. but love birds are pretty to look at.

lovebirds are good birds, they can bond easier and they are much more interactive, a parakeet is going to be less aggressive and quieter (though all birds make noise). Male parakeets can mimick words while lovebirds rarely if ever talk. check out http://www.parrotcentral.net/companion_p... for good bird comparison

Can't say.  I am owned by a lovebird, and she has a HUGE personality.  But I've had to endure many blood-drawing bites from her as she is a rescue with may issues.  Do parakeets draw blood???

I love my Rainbow Bird.  She's awesome.

Lovebirds for sure as they come in different colours. I like the blue and green mask, whiteface, and fischer lovebirds.

I love them.

They are much more intelligent than a lovebird and they tend to be more playful and active. They would stick to you till you are enough with it and they are extremely loyal.
