I have a cage and the dimesions (inches) are 35 height 30 wide 41 deep. How many pairs of lovebirds can I keep in there. They will be let out to play every day for at least an hour and a half. Also, I have 8 food/water dishes.

Thanks for your reply

  1. If you have an actual male/female pair, you'll only be able to fit one in a cage that size. Lovebirds are VERY territorial little birds. You might be able to have 3 of the same s*x in a cage that size.

You need to remember they will need room to move around, stretch their wings, lots of different toys to keep them stimulated, all that stuff takes up room, and even social birds don't like to live on top of one another.

An hour and a half isn't that long to be out to play for a lovebird (mine would be very upset if thats all the time they got to come out and play). They're very smart, love to play, and get bored very, very easily.  If they're going to be in the cage most the day, they need lots of space, lots of toys, and preferably in a room where they can feel like part of the family.

  2. i would suggest at most you can put a pair of lovebirds in that cage, that is an excellent size
