  1. Yes, I have a suggestion!!!! I've been an expert skier for over 35 yrs. & I've skied Breckenridge & I know all about Loveland. I've lived & worked in Boulder, Denver & Vail in Colorado. Breckenridge is a better ski area & you should try & ski here first but that depends on the snow conditions in late April. In other words, a lot of ski areas have limited skiing in late April since they don't have a large snow base since some of the snow has melted. However, this yr. they've had record snows in these areas. Also, the Loveland ski area has one of the longest ski seasons in the Rockies since it's right on top of Loveland Pass & this is right on the continental divide which is where the highest peaks are & the most snow. The Loveland Ski Area is at one of the highest elevations in the Rockies. because of this, it's colder longer & they get the most snow. If I were you, I'd check both websites (www.breckenridge.com & www.loveland.com) & check is see how deep the snow base is before you make a reservation. If you have to make a reservation now, then I would definitely choose Loveland. They will have plenty of snow & probably all their runs & lifts will be open. I can't say the same for Breckenridge for the time in April that you're planning to go. Although Breckenridge is one of the best ski areas in Colorado so is Loveland. It's not as popular since it's not as large but it everthing you need for skiing. Some people don't like it because they're afraid of the elevation, it's usually colder & it can be windy but that's why their season is so long. They always open early & close late. Good Luck & enjoy your ski vacation.

  2. ahh brekenrige, ive had alot of good memories there. i prefer brekenrige over anything. it has good easy mountians for beginers, and harder mountians for more advanced skiiers. we stay at our friends condo in the powderhorn, it is within walking distence to either the mountians or the town. we have a beutiful view of a bridge over the blue river from our condo. the 10 mile station is a delitious resturant on the mountian. i have skiied on evry peak at brekenrige, the impirial chair is my favorite, it is the highest ski run in all of north america. i have skiied at almost evry ski resort in colorado, and out of all of them brekenrige is my favorite by far.

  3. I personally think that Breckenridge is better than Loveland, because it has more variety in slopes. The snow/powder is also better there than Loveland's, or so I've heard from friends.

However, I prefer Keystone, Vail, and Copper, rather than Loveland and Breckenridge. That's just me, though.
