I'm planning a week trip for about the second to third week in April, and it will be my fist time ever snowboarding. I have head good things about both places. Even if not those two places; any suggestions?

  1. Loveland is cheaper and a little less crowded. Breck has tons of terrain. They're both good spots, it's a matter of what you prefer.

  2. Breck.....it's gorgeous and very snowboard friendly! Hope you have a great trip :)

  3. BRECK IS A GREAT MOUNTAIN, KINDA OFF THE BEATEN PATH BUT WORTH IT, THE VILLAGE IS HUGH WITH SO MUCH TO DO , SHOPPING DINING ETC, ALL WITH A FREE BUS SHUTTLE SERVICE TO TAKE YOU WHERE EVER YOU WANT TO GO

  4. Make sure they are still open then, Brekenridge usually closes the second or third weekend in April.  Loveland usually stays open longer.

My favorite of the two is Breckenridge, but loveland is probably better to learn at.  Less crowded, and cheaper.  Good luck and have fun.

  5. That time of year, Loveland will probably have better snow.  Not really big enough for a week though.  No real apres-ski or night life near it.  Decent for learning.  Low crowd and cheap tickets.  Breck would be better for the town and the size although as previously mentioned, that time of year it may be closed or much of the terrain may be closed.
