Hi, I own a private 1-2 acre pond and have many fish in it, including bullhead catfish, but I have only caught 4 1-3 pounds each, and I fish down there almost everyday, I try everything from ground up chicken liver to nightcrawlers to live fish rarely catching one!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was told over and over that bullheads overpopulate ponds but so far only 4 caught why arent there more!!!!!!!!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

  1. bullhead often bite around 9pm-1am in mid august, but you still will catch them. they only bite at night when there is no moon and no lightning. BASS and BULL FROGS eat the baby bullhead. get the bass out because they are just a bother

  2. Catfish love small bullhead. They may have eaten a bunch of baby ones so now there aren't any. Good luck and good fishing!
