I live in Minnesota, and I'm looking to find a way to neuter our youngest 4month male kitten, but there's no way we can do it for $500+, we are looking into low cost program but are unsure of what's available in our area, our zip is 55406 (Minneapolis/St Paul) and if anyone could help i'd greatly appreciate it!

thanks!

  1. Here's one group you should contact.  They can tell you who to go to.

No private vet has ever charged me more than $300 - for a large female dog - so $500+ sounds way out of line for a male kitten.  Humane societies and SPCAS do it for around $50-100.

  2. you should ask your local animal shelter what kind of low cost program is available in your area.

There should be something. Try scoping out coupons. I got one of my cats neutered for only 70$.

You should do some research on the place first though. Some times they are low cost because they are low quality.

  3. Here is a great website where you can buy the certificate for low cost spay/neuter right online:

If you cannot find anything in your area I would contact your city shelter, the ASPCA, or other rescue organization in your area.

Thank you for altering your pets!!
