Question:

Low Shrubs?

I need some ideas about low landscaping shrubs with small roots which can be planted along side my home.

They would get full sun only in the late evening. The rest of the time they would have partial or no sun.

  1. I like lilac. It's root system is small enough so that it doesn't damage your home & it will grow in either sun or shade.

You can trim it to the right height once it's grown & the blossoms smell wonderful.

I do have to caution that bees may be a problem as with any flowering bush.

  2. dwarf gardenia, any liriopes, dwarf azaleas, agapantha these are just a few easy ones.
