Can anyone recommend some recipes or brands for low or no carb snacks or desserts? I'm trying to eat more proteins, fruits, and veggies and cut back on carbs. Any and all suggestions are appreciated. Thanks!

  1. -Beef Jerky

    -Dried Fruit

-100 Calorie snack Pack include oreos, cheetos, chips ahoy with less calories

-All natural cherry pie. No unhealthy fake cherry filling.

    -Carrot sticks

    -blueberry muffins

  2. Cool Whip is great on anything, and Angel Food cake is low in carbs/sugar - try with sliced strawberries:)   Breyer's makes some great low-carb ice cream.  Cream puffs are relatively low in carbs/sugar and you can fill them with sugar-free pudding, ice cream or Cool Whip ... Hagen Daz makes great fruit sorbet (no dairy in sorbet).  Check the ice cream freezers at your local grocery;  it's amazing how much is now available in sugar-free and low carb!

  3. beef jerky and pork rinds are good basic snack fare for low-carbing.  I found berries to be pretty good.  I would take some frozen berry mixture, and put a half cup or so into a bowl, sprinkle some splenda on it, and a couple oz of half/half or cream.

  4. So I do not advocate low-carb desserts, let alone desserts in general, but low-carb snacks I do recommend, but probably not the kind you are thinking of... I am talking vegetables & such - I have been on a low carb diet (VERY LOW, no fruit even) so my favorite vegetable snacks for those times when you JUST NEED TO EAT SOMETHING are = cabbage with mustard, olive tapenade, tomato paste or olive oil OR white wine vinegar, tomato paste from the can with a spoon, Nori Sheets, sliced bell peppers with mustard, any left over steamed/baked vegetables, baked/broiled eggplant (made into chips), baked/broiled kale (made into chips - just watch them closely when broiling), hard boiled eggs, small cans of wild king salmon mixed with spinach leaves & olives (bigger than usual snack - keep the can of salmon to 3.5 oz MAX), anti-pasto with mini-pickles, olives, artichoke hearts, green beans & asparagus
