  2. hmmm...tandoori chicken:

    8 no: Large Chicken pieces skin removed or low fat variety

    11/4 cup: fat free Yogurt

    2 tbs: Lime Juice

    ½ quantity: Chopped Onion

    3-4: Dried Red Chillies

    2 tsp: Coriander Seeds

    2 cloves: Crushed Garlic

    1" piece: Grated Ginger

    1-2: Clove

    2 tsp: Garam Masala

    2 tsp: Chilli powder

    Salt to taste

    Make slits in the flesh of the chicken pieces and rub lime juice and salt over them. Keep aside for half an hour.

    Grind dried chillies, coriander seeds, ginger, garlic and clove together. Mix the paste with garam masala and chilli powder.

    Heat a pan and sauté the masala (just put them in without oil). Add onions and fry (again without oil just be careful they ont burn). Pour yogurt and stir well. Remove the pan from fire.

    Arrange chicken pieces in a dish and pour over the yogurt mixture. Refrigerate the marinade overnight or at least for 4-6 hours.

    Arrange the chicken on a broiler tray cook it in a pre-heated oven for 20-30 minutes

    Ingredients: ( To serve-- 4)

    1. Toor Daal -- 1 cup

    2. Chopped spinach -- 1 cup

    3. Onion -- 1/2 (finely chopped)

    4. Green Chilli -- 2 (chopped)

    Method:

    1. Cook the toor daal in a cooker or directly in a pot until it is soft(or cooked).

    2.Heat a pan without oil and add jeera to it. Add the green chilli and onions. mix without oil for a couple of minutes and then add the spinach. Fry (without oil) for a minute.

    3. Now add the daal and some water, if necessary. It should be of pouring consistency.

    4. Add a tsp. of lemon juice, if desired. Serve with chapathi

  4. Mango Lasse:

    2 cups mango nectar

    1 cup plain or vanilla yogurt

    1 cup milk

    Blend all together and serve. Very tasty :)
