  2. I LOVE smoothies!  I drink them all the time for just a meal themselves.  The secret to a perfect low-fat smoothie is to not add all the extra pazazz.  Try blending one banana with just a cup of ice and a little bit of milk and NO yogurt.  Yogurt has added sugar, and even with splenda it's adding more fat and more calories which isn't needed when the banana is already sweet.  Plus, artificial sugar replacements are bad on your health and may cause problems later on in life.

That is my tip for absolutely any smoothie you make.  I'm not saying yogurt isn't good, but with milk and sweet fruit and some ice you're all set for a delicious very low-calorie meal.

If you're making a smoothie that needs a little extra sweetness, add a little vanilla yogurt, or Stevia.  Stevia is a natural sugar replacement that is GOOD for you because it's from a plant and it has 0 calories.

So for the recipes, just experiment and add different fruits of your choice and you'll be making up recipes of your own.

    Have fun :)

  5. if you want a healthy fruit smoothie just experiment with different types of frozen fruit and non-fat plain yogurt. one thing we started doing was adding tofu to our smoothies. just a little bit and you won't even notice it's there. and your smoothie comes out a little creamier. i highly recommend it. the tofu just takes the flavor of what ever kind of smoothie you make.
