Question:

Low iron, potassium and protein levels in toddlers???

My daughter's test results came back showing low levels of iron, potassium and protein???? She's been through a lot lately, the last month included a blood infection where she was hospitalized for a week and then she fell down and got two stitches last week, she bled a loooot. She eats well especially fruits. Her snacks are usually fruits and raisins. I don't understand where these deficiencies came from. Could what she'd been through in the past weeks have affected her nutrient levels? Is it only food intake? could there be an underlying medical problem causing this?

Please advise

Note: she's going to turn 2 in September, she weighs 13.8kg, she's a big girl for her age.

any info or advice is highly appreciated

Please look at that website. Start with iron and go from there. Click where it says learn more about it under each mineral.
