Low on power?

Who out there has compared a bike with low power to say a 600cc sportbike. I have a new KLR650 and am finding it a bit low on power, I know there is a big difference in power on paper but how much more powerful does an R6 feel in comparison to a single cylinder 600cc engine?

The KLR will pull around 33-35 hp, depending on the year.  A recent R6 puts out around 110 or so.  

There's a big difference.

the real power difference comes on the second half of the tachometer...

you'll feel it pull WAY harder after 8000 rpm, but 600's are not as hot as some people think, if you're going to upgrade, go for a literbike...
