and missed a handful of opportunities before Mario Gotze gave them the deserved lead.

The tactician said that a few chances were too good to miss and claimed that their opponents were not a standard that they judge themselves on.
"In some situations we could do better. We sometimes don't do the little things correctly. Faroe Islands are not the benchmark against which we measure our other opponents in the group," he mused.
"We put pressure on them from the start and we wanted to get an early goal, and we had many scoring chances in the first half," said the Real Madrid man.
Mesut Ozil was the star of the showdown as he netted twice in the second-half to take the game away from the Faroes. He understands his coach’s frustration but said that his team-mates worked really hard.
