Low volume on a Sharpp 26 in HDTV with a cable box?

the volume on my tv was fine until i hooked up my cable box. now when i watch tv, i have to turn it up to 50 (the max it goes) in order to hear it! the volume is fine when i watch DVDs & play Wii. the cable box is hooked up correctly into input 3.

Some of those cable boxes have their own internal volume controls.  Check that out.
