Lower left extreme pain while menstruating?

For about 7 -8 yrs. now I have extreme pain right before and a few days during my period. It feels like I am being stabbed internally. It almost feels like I am passing a stone through my fallopian tube. The pain lasts for a few minutes. It comes on slow, the pain peaks and then subsides for a while. I had an ultrasound and CT scan a few yrs. ago and they showed nothing. Needless to say, I wasn't in pain when I had them done. They were scheduled, and I was not menstruating at the time. My OB-GYN thought it may be endometriosis, but that has been ruled out. She also ran tests to rule out STD's. This began about 2 yrs. after I gave birth to my son. Any help? Anyone have the same problem?

Did the OB rule out PCOS Poly Cystic Ovarian Syndrom?? Ovarian Cysts

That may be what is going on

I thought at first that it could have been a cyst, because I've had a few burst and it feels like what you are describing, but if it happens before each period, it may just be chronic pelvic pain.  I have gone through the same pains through each period, and have had laporoscopies, CTs, and ultrasounds, with the same result... nothing to be found.  It was finally concluded that I have acute chronic pain.  Mine is generally on my right side.  Hope that helped.
