Question:

Lower taxes are not always a good thing (T/F)?

I mean when you consider the big picture.... It just seems that lowering taxes often (if not usually) is coupled with increased gov't spending which puts the U.S. farther and farther into debt. Is it not a prudent policy to ONLY lower taxes if the budget can be balanced to avoid ongoing, runaway debt? This seems to be quite challenging for politicians!?

  1. i agree. seems like they want to help the fellow american but then they do something to put us farther into debt. we got a rebate check, that low and behold, we have to pay taxes on.  not fair.... the government wants to spend our working money but when we file our taxes, we owe money or we don't get a lot back. Politicians and people alike think they know all to all answers....

  2. lower of taxes means business improves but the tax structure for other things goes up as fixed by budget no use only the poor suffers and govt expediture never lowers pathetic situtation
