i just bought the bike looking to lower it. Thought about a Ness adjustable lowering kit. Someone told me white bros. has one pretty cheap since ness can be a bit pricey. thought about buying a kit to change the angle of the shock found one in J&P catalog. My question is which of the two is easiest to install (keeping in consideration special tools) and which would you suggest.

  1. You have a softail and there is no way to change the angle of the shock and remember on a normal shock the shock compresses and on a Softail the shock extends.

The kit is cheaper but the labor to install it is more expensive.

Shocks are more expensive to buy but less expensive to install.

Air shocks are more expensive to buy and more expensive to install.

So those are your choices.  Good luck

  2. I put a White Brothers kit on my 2001 Nightrain & it lowered it 3 1/2 "

I also have one on my 05 RoadKing. The kit is cheap & easy to install.

  4. I would go with white brothers Arlen Ness is expencive

  5. Depending on your situation have you looked into getting a low profile seat ?       (just a thought)
