I live in michigan so the humidity in my ball pythons tank is high, about 70-80% most of the time. i know thats too high. I have tin foil over most of the screen top, and i know that if i take it off the humidity will go down but so will the heat which is perfect right now!!! thanks for your help.

  1. Use a taller rather than a wider water dish and don't put the water dish right over the heater (I hope you have an under the tank heater such as a hot pad)

Also, if you're someone who points a light at the cage (I don't personally but I have friends who do) move the water dish to a darker side and out of the light

  2. I live in Michigan as well. You'll need to remove the tin-foil to lower the humidity. The heating issue can be resolved as well, but I'd first need to know what method of heating your using (lamp, heat-mat, flexwatt)

If you're using an under tank heat mat, keeping a heat lamp on for part of the day (in addition to under tank heat) will help keep your temps up and your humidity down.

  3. u answered your own question to get rid of humidity u need more ventilation. you'll just have to find another way of keeping the tank warm
