  1. Space heaters actually use quite a bit of energy.

    Suggestions:

-Write down everything (everything) you spend money on.  Keep a daily track.  It's often quite shocking to see where money goes.  By writing everything down, I mean if you buy a pack of gum, a bottle of water...whatever.  Write it down.

-Use a spreadsheet for this on a computer.

-Create a budget; include rent, car, utilities, phone, living expenses (food, clothing, etc.) and any other bills (medical, dental, other).  Also include income (job, other income) AFTER taxes and other deductions.

Your answer will be in your budget.

  2. With due respect, you might consider taking a couple of classes having to do with language, grammar and spelling before you graduate. That stuff  above is simply atrocious. Other than that, do you really need that car? As for part-time job you might try those temporary agencies (look for them in your local newspaper, or the Web). They're always hiring.

  3. i no this might sound a bit daft but if its that bad i wouldnt put the aircon on or the heating if im hot i would open the windows and if im cold i would just lie with my quilt hope this helps

  4. Sounds like your ready to go commando on your budget.  The best way to save money is on the "big" stuff.  For you that is rent, car, and food.

For rent can you get another roomate or move to a less expensive place.

Can you do without the car and use public transportation or bicycle?  I lived for years riding a bike to work and saved on car payments, gas and insurance.

For groceries you must learn to be a smart shopper.  Buy store brands when they are acceptable.  Don't eat out.  No bottled water. Use coupons and look for specials.

The other side of reducing expenses is increasing income.  Look for some side jobs.  Babysitting, helping people move, cleaning houses, or restaurant work, etc..

For school, be sure that you investigate all forms of financial aid and scholarships.  Good luck.  Hard work and sacrifice will you get you through these hard times and prepare you for future successes.  Good luck.
