Lowes, would they do this?

Question

A sheet of plywood at lowes costs about $11.

I need it for a guinea pig cage that I am making. Will they cut plywood to the dimensions asked? Like I need one to be 68" by 39". Then I need four smaller pieces, 2 need to be 68" and 2 need to be 39" and they all need to be 6 inches-8 inches tall....

Will lowes do that if asked? Will they deliver it?

no idea if they will deliver that small of an amount, but they will def. cut it to order for you, with or without extra charge depending upon the salesperson.

Yes if they are like Homedepot, they will only give one free cut, each additional cut is 50 cents.  They will not deliver for free they will rent you a truck.

maybe a special order if u gave them enough time, but don't think they will do it for u if u just walk in and ask them

I live in Alabama and all Lowe's here will make those cuts for you at no charge! and they rent a truck at Lowe's for about $20 for about 4 hours

I am sure that if they aren't busy they would do it, and the delivery they charge for that. If they wont maybe you can find someone that has a skill saw that will do it at your house for you

They will cut at no charge if you can be patient at the saw (in case they have other customers) if they give you grief just ask for the Zone Manager of Lumber, he or she will make it happen.

Delivery within 20 miles is $59 & $1 per mile thereafter. Lead time is 1 - 2 days. The Lowe's truck rents for $20 for 75 minutes which should be plenty on time.

If the largest piece is just over 5ft you should be able to fit them in most any car though.

I think most lumber places cut for you but at a price and also delivery is expensive.    Try and borrow a truck.    SHAW

dont see why not..   cuts cost about 50 cents ea.  they would probably deliver,  maybe  $75..  if not their competitor rents a truck for 20  bucks to an hr if you dont have a truck to haul your purchase.

They will make measured cuts for you, (at about

half a buck per cut, last I remember).
